Refine Your Practice: Master Alignment, Adjustments, and Inner Awareness!

In this workshop, you will learn how to modify poses based on your body’s constitution and proportions, develop proprioception, enhance posture alignment, and create personalized tools to improve your practice. Focus will be placed on preventing injuries, aiding recovery, and using props effectively.

This workshop encourages self-awareness and mindful listening to the body. You will learn to observe and understand your body’s proportions, as well as how to use props to enhance your practice. The tools, techniques, and modifications introduced will help you take your practice to the next level.

Modifications and Variations: Tailor postures to your body’s unique needs.

Asana Adjustments: Hands-on or verbal cues will guide you in enhancing alignment, depth, and comfort in each pose. Learn how to modify yoga postures so that they are tailored to your body’s needs, helping you achieve the same benefits with greater ease and reduced risk of injury.

Using Props: Props, such as – chairs, walls, towels, cushions, straps, and sticks, will help modify poses to suit various body types and abilities. They support proper alignment, reduce the risk of injury, and allow for deeper relaxation in restorative poses. Props also enhance flexibility and range of motion over time, providing external support for greater comfort and stability in postures.

Alignment and Engagement of Joints and Muscles:

Bone Structure (Length, Angle): Affects range of motion and joint alignment.

Muscle Mass and Shape: Impacts flexibility, strength, and balance.

Body Fat Distribution: Influences balance, flexibility, and comfort.

Posture: Affects overall alignment, breathing, and practice.

Please note that accommodation is not included in the program, as it is a day-long event. However, our yoga center is conveniently located in the heart of Trivandrum, surrounded by a variety of homestays and hotels to fit different preferences and budgets.
